What is BBL HEROic?
BBL HEROic stands for High Energy Rapid Output with Intelligent Control. It is a broadband light device rather than a traditional laser, which means it delivers a wider spectrum of light that can be filtered for different concerns. For hair reduction we use the Forever BARE BBL setting, which pairs a large spot size with motion technology to cover a lot of skin comfortably.
How does hair reduction with BBL HEROic work?
The light energy is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle and converted to heat, which disables the follicle so it stops producing hair. Forever BARE spreads that energy across multiple lower energy pulses while the handpiece is in motion, rather than delivering one strong pulse in a single spot. The result is a gentler treatment that still reaches the follicle.
What makes HEROic different?
The handpiece tracks its own position in three dimensions and places each pulse automatically. That removes the striping, gaps, and overlap that can happen when pulses are placed by hand, so coverage stays even across curved areas like shoulders and calves. A sapphire cooling crystal keeps the surface of your skin cool while the light passes through.
More than hair removal
Because HEROic uses interchangeable filters, the same device we use for hair reduction also addresses sun damage, brown spots, facial redness, and active acne. If you are coming in for hair removal but have other concerns, bring them up at your consultation. We can often build a plan that uses one device across several goals.

Forever BARE BBL makes full body hair reduction faster and more comfortable, with even coverage from the first pulse to the last.
FAQ
FAQs
You've got questions? We've got answers.
How many sessions does it take?
Plan on six to eight treatments spaced a few weeks apart. Hair grows in cycles, so we treat repeatedly to catch follicles while they are active.
Is BBL HEROic a laser?
No, it is a broadband light device. It uses a wider spectrum of light than a laser, filtered to target what we are treating, and it reduces hair the same way.
What does it feel like?
Most people describe a warm snap, similar to a rubber band. The cooled sapphire tip and continuous motion make it easier to tolerate than older pulsed light systems.
Is there any downtime?
None required. Some redness or slight puffiness around the follicles is normal and usually settles within a few hours.
