What is BBL HEROic?

BBL HEROic is the newest generation of Sciton's BroadBand Light platform. It delivers a broad spectrum of light that can be filtered to target specific concerns, so one device can address pigment, vascular concerns, and overall skin quality. Two innovations set HEROic apart from earlier BBL and BBL HERO systems: Intelligent Control software and the Skin Positioning System, which together make treatments faster, more comfortable, and more consistent from pulse to pulse.

What happens during a treatment?

Your provider applies a clear gel over the treatment area to help your skin absorb the light energy, then glides the handpiece across the skin. The light works in two ways at once. It targets pigmented and vascular areas such as sunspots and visible vessels so the body can clear them, and the heat it generates reaches collagen rich layers below, prompting a natural healing response that softens fine lines over time.

What the research shows

Studies on BBL technology suggest that patients who stay on a regular treatment schedule can reduce and delay the visible signs of aging skin, including photodamage, telangiectasias, and loss of elasticity, in a way that still looks natural.
